Massive landslides and catastrophic flash floods have wreaked havoc at the Nepal-China border, destroying houses, wiping out bridges and killing at least 788 people in Nepal and at least 16 in China since the landslide on August 26. Additionally, about 3,000 people are still unaccounted for.
A search is underway for almost 900 missing employees at various hydropower projects in Nepal, and officials are closely monitoring two newly formed lakes created by the landslide, which have fueled concerns about further flooding.
Video footage and satellite imagery shows the immense scale of the disaster in some of the areas hit hardest by the floods.
