Crowds gathered near Madison Square Garden appeared eager for even fleeting glimpses of the celebrity guests attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding early Saturday morning.
Dozens standing behind police barricades on both sides of West 31st Street in Manhattan erupted in cheers whenever vehicles believed to be transporting departing guests left MSG. The vehicles also ignited a series of camera flashes from crowds as they whizzed past, as fans appeared to try to capture any activity from what’s been a tightly sealed star-studded event.
Stars who attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration were spotted departing Madison Square Garden on foot and in vehicles as the festivities continued well after midnight.
Model Gigi Hadid and actor Bradley Cooper were seen being driven away from MSG early Saturday, as was actress Selena Gomez. Comedian Chris Rock was photographed inside a black SUV, while actor Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein were pictured walking out.
Earlier, director Steven Spielberg and actress Jessica Alba made their respective exits, while stars from the NFL world were also spotted leaving, including seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady and Andy Reid, Kelce’s head coach with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The celebrities were among a parade of stars seen arriving at MSG Friday, including Ethan Hawke, Gwen Stefani, Benson Boone, Jason Sudekis, Jimmy Fallon, JLo, Ed Sheeran, Abby Wambach, Cooper Kupp, Roger Goodell, Joe Buck and Jenny Han.
From “Mary’s Song” to “But Daddy I Love Him,” Taylor Swift has been singing about marriage for decades.
Those lyrics have now come to life.
Swift and Travis Kelce, who started dating in 2023 and announced their engagement in August, are married, a representative for Swift has announced.
Swifties stood outside MSG for hours amid rising temperatures as black SUVs with tinted windows carrying guests made their way into the curtained off arena. Nothing could be seen inside the iconic venue, but a handful of celebrities like Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant and Benson Boone could be spotted arriving to the star-studded party.
As the night went on, tired fans suddenly saw pink lights flash: “JUST&T MARRIED,” signs surrounding Madison Square Garden read. Almost too perfectly, a news release confirming the nuptials was sent out as rain started pouring and a sense of calm enveloped the area.
Here’s what we know about the superstar couple’s wedding celebration currently underway at New York’s Madison Square Garden:
The couple’s longtime friend Adam Sandler officiated the wedding in front of a reported 1,000 guests, and their brothers were the man of honor and best man.
While it’s unclear exactly how the celebrations look, the couple wore Christian Dior and their shoes were made by Christian Louboutin.
The reception is underway and expected to last through the early morning hours on Saturday, sources said. The robust guest list includes several of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates, sports figures like NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and pop stars like Gwen Stefani, Fergie, Jennifer Lopez and Benson Boone.
Legendary singer and Swift’s longtime friend Stevie Nicks is expected to perform with Swift at the celebration, The New York Times reported.
Rather than resembling the sports and concert venue many people would recognize, MSG has been transformed into a “fairytale garden,” according to Charlotte Triggs, editor-in-chief of People Magazine.
The Empire State Building will light up blue for “her something blue,” according to a post on social media.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of New York City, and the heavy rain on Friday evening has sent the crowd of fans waiting outside Madison Square Garden home.
After waiting hours in the sweltering heat before the wedding to see the A-list guests arrive, faithful Swifties are finally dispersing after news the couple officially tied the knot.
The couple didn’t have a traditional lineup of bridesmaids or groomsmen and instead opted for Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, to serve as her “Man of Honor,” and Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, to stand up as his best man.
Austin Swift, the popstar’s younger brother, has also worked in the music industry.
Jason Kelce, a retired center for the Philadelphia Eagles, co-hosts the podcast “New Heights” with his brother. Travis Kelce was the best man at his brother’s wedding.
Following official confirmation that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are now married, CNN’s Elizabeth Wagmeister reports from outside the couple’s wedding venue.
To officiate their wedding, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce pulled in comedian and actor Adam Sandler – a longtime friend who has previously gushed over the pair’s relationship.
The news came in a press release from Swift’s team, sent around the same time as lit up screens began appearing around Madison Square Garden with the declaration “JUST&T MARRIED!”
Sandler said during a 2024 appearance on Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” that his Swift-loving family were in full support of the courtship.
“When you guys first started dating, my God was my family like, ‘Yes! Look how good they are together! He’s a gentleman and she’s having so much fun!’” Sandler said at the time.
Sandler said his daughters grew up listening to Swift – so he became a Swiftie by extension, too.
And last year, Sandler acted alongside Kelce in the sports comedy “Happy Gilmore 2.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, whose joyous and public courtship played out as a blockbuster rom-com, are married, marking a new era for the singer who for two decades ascended to the top of the pop pyramid with her musical musings about girlhood and broken hearts.
A representative for Swift confirmed to CNN that Swift and Kelce were married Friday.
The couple did not have a traditional lineup of bridesmaids or groomsmen, opting rather for Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, to serve as her “Man of Honor,” with Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, standing up as his best man.
Actor and friend of the couple Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, which was held at Madison Square Garden in front of 1,000 guests.
Screens outside of the Garden read “JUST&T MARRIED” in purple.
Swift and Kelce both wore ceremony looks designed by Jonathan Anderson for Christian Dior Haute Couture. Swift and Kelce worked “in close collaboration” with the designer on these looks. They both wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes, and Swift completed her look with Cartier jewelry.
The milestone brings to a climax a romance that’s played out in the public eye, from a missed meet-cute mentioned on a podcast to the Eras Tour stage and a couple of Super Bowls.
The matrimonial union also follows weeks of intense speculation on pinpointing how and where the couple would celebrate what’s become America’s royal wedding, with rumors that Swift and Kelce’s big day might take place anywhere from the singer’s Rhode Island home to Madison Square Garden, which in recent days has been buzzing with preparations and the arrival Friday of the couple’s star-studded guest list.
The couple started dating in 2023. They initially connected after Kelce talked about his disappointment about how he attempted to give a friendship bracelet to Swift at her Kansas City Eras Tour stop but was denied access to the singer at the time, a move Swift later colorfully described the move as “metal as hell.”
The designer has been revealed.
Newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are wearing Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson, during their wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, according to a press release from Swift’s team.
Dior was among the labels rumored as a possible dress designer, alongside smaller American brands like Monse and Wiederhoeft, both of whom are in her regular style rotation for events on and offstage.
Dior designer Jonathan Anderson is known for elaborate, mischievous designs and the house’s atelier is considered one of Paris’s finest. It is also a favorite of Melania Trump’s, and Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence regularly wear its clothes for major publicity moments.
Swift has fantasized about her wedding dress in numerous music videos, where the gown has almost always been a strapless bustier with a grand, princess-y skirt.
The pop star is not particularly known as a fashion icon, but she and her stylist Joseph Cassell have shown a preference for feminine, hourglass dresses (often strapless) that veer classic Hollywood, if a little camp.
The couple’s shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and Swift wore Cartier jewelry, according to her representative Tree Paine.
As pop megastar Taylor Swift is getting married in midtown Manhattan tonight, the Empire State Building is joining in on the fun.
The iconic skyscraper will light up blue for “her something blue,” according to a post on social media.
And it’s not the first time the tower has been lit up to celebrate Swift. Previously, it was lit up in orange to celebrate the release of “The Life of a Showgirl.”
“JUST&T MARRIED” messages have appeared on signs outside Madison Square Garden.
It’s unclear who controls the messaging on the signs, which are lit up pink and appear throughout the area.
After a couple of hours’ worth of a steady stream of guest arrivals, a lull has set over Midtown Manhattan as the behind-closed-doors festivities for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration are well underway.
Adding to the mystery of what’s happening on the arena floor is the reported requirement for Swift and Kelce’s very famous and very online guests to abide by a no-phone policy, so you won’t find any clues on social media.
The celebrations were set to start at 4:30 p.m. and are expected to go until the early morning hours.
Legendary singer and Taylor Swift’s longtime friend Stevie Nicks is expected to perform with Swift at her wedding celebration, The New York Times reported.
A person with knowledge of the event told the Times Swift and Nicks had a sound check in the Garden earlier today. And a man who appeared to be working the event was overheard saying that Swift had already entered the venue for the festivities and that she would perform with Nicks today, the Times reported.
The years-long friendship blossomed after the pair performed together at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Since then, the Fleetwood Mac singer known as the “Fairy Godmother of Rock ‘n’ Roll” has become a trusted confidante for Swift.
Swift has frequently praised Nicks for paving the way for female artists, even name-checking her on her 2024 track “Clara Bow.”
The lyrics read: “You look like Stevie Nicks in ’75, the hair and lips. Crowd goes wild at her fingertips. Half moonshine, a full eclipse.”
Page Six was the first to report Nicks’ expected performance.
CNN has reached out to representatives for Nicks.
Jennifer Lopez and Ed Sheeran are among Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded roster of guests seen arriving at the couple’s wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden on Friday.
Swift and Sheeran, who was accompanied by his wife, Cherry Seaborn, are longtime close friends and frequent collaborators, having not only appeared on each other’s albums, but having performed together at several of each other’s concerts.
Sheeran and Swift’s history runs deeper than that — he also opened for her 2012 Red tour and considers his first date with Seaborn to have taken place at one of Swift’s Fourth of July parties over a decade ago.
Lopez and Swift have also performed together. In 2013, Lopez surprised Swift’s crowd of concertgoers inside what was formerly known as the Staples Center in Los Angeles to sing her hit “Jenny From the Block.”
The same vehicle believed to have carried Taylor Swift home from Madison Square Garden last night has just returned to the venue where wedding festivities are underway.
The silver SUV was last seen leaving the singer’s Manhattan residence earlier this morning.
A chorus of screams could be heard as fans who had been waiting for hours in sweltering heat spotted the SUV. Swifties in the crowd were holding up signs of support, with one excited fan screaming “Go, Taylor! Go!”
The inside of Madison Square Garden has been transformed for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration, according to Charlotte Triggs, editor-in-chief of People Magazine.
Rather than resembling the sports and concert venue many people would recognize, the space has become what Triggs described as a “fairytale garden.”
“We have sources that say that they’ve seen the inside and it is absolutely majestic and beautiful, and it looks like a classic wedding,” Triggs told CNN’s Abby Phillip.
The person in charge of the guest list for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration really dug deep.
The robust guest list obviously includes several of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates, sports figures like NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and pop stars like Gwen Stefani, Fergie and Benson Boone. But there’s also others whose connections to the pair may not be as well known to the casual observer.
Actor Ethan Hawke, for example, was in Swift’s 2024 music video for “Fortnight.”
Hugh Grant hasn’t appeared in any music videos but is a noted Swiftie. He and his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein previously attended an Eras Tour concert that made such an impression on the actor, he took to X to gush about the “incredible” show and thank Kelce, who he referred to as Swift’s “gigantic boyfriend.”
Author Jenny Han has also been seen. She penned the book series “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” which Amazon turned into a hit TV show that featured several Swift songs.
Kansas City-native and Chiefs fan Jason Sudeikis has also been spotted heading to the festivities, as well as comedian Nikki Glaser, a self-professed Swiftie who attended an impressive amount of Eras Tour shows.
There there are guests like celebrity chef Alison Roman, who Swift sent a fan letter to years ago, according to a New Yorker profile on Roman.
What a party.
Taylor Swift has offered occasional insights into her relationship with Travis Kelce, including a story about a mix-up he made while meeting VIP guests at the “Eras Tour.”
In an interview with Seth Meyers from October 2025, Swift recounted how Kelce confused Hugh Grant’s wife, Anna Elisabet Eberstein, with Greta Gerwig — the director of “Barbie.”
As SUVs with blacked-out windows passed them by, fans behind the police barrier were belting out Swift’s hit song “Love Story.”
Swift wrote the song, part of her 2008 album “Fearless,” when she was 17. She said she was angry because her parents wouldn’t let her date a boy they disapproved of. Now considered one of her signature songs, the excitement for Swift’s own “Love Story” isn’t on a balcony, but it’s continuing to bubble in the hot summer air.
Videos and photos outside Madison Square Garden captured some of the stars who are among the 1,000 guests expected to attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration.
Here are the celebrities we’ve seen arrive at the arena so far:
Actor Hugh Grant arrived wearing a tuxedo alongside his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein, who wore a red and black dress.
Actor Ethan Hawke and his wife, Ryan, donned blue formal attire.
Singer Benson Boone, who was an opening act for the Eras Tour, was also spotted.
Sports legends including soccer great Abby Wambach and NFL star Cooper Kupp were seen. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is also in attendance, a law enforcement source said.
Best-selling author Jenny Han is among the guests.
Actor Jason Sudeikis was pictured arriving at the venue in a tuxedo.
Fellow superstar Gwen Stefani has arrived, according to a law enforcement source.
Sports broadcaster Joe Buck and his wife, Michelle, have been seen at the event.
Talk show host Jimmy Fallon was pictured arriving at Madison Square Garden.
